If you’re not currently using PR, may I ask why not?

After all, PR could put you and your business in front of thousands, if not tens or hundreds of thousands, of potential customers.

Among other things, it helps to create brand awareness, as well as the all-important know, like and trust factor.

And it can directly lead to enquiries and sales. What’s not to love?

(If you’re not sure what PR is, I recommend that you have a read of this article before reading on).

Is fear preventing you from using PR to promote your business?

  • Perhaps you are afraid of reaching out to the media?
  • Perhaps you don’t think that your business is worthy of being featured in magazines, newspapers, online, or on radio or TV?
  • Perhaps you’ve tried it before but didn’t get the result you were after, so think it’s a waste of time?

If so, then let me tell you this.

Journalists are ALWAYS looking for a story

They have column inches or airtime to fill. And they have an audience to satisfy.

Which means that they are always keen to hear from PRs like me and business owners like you. After all, we can potentially provide them with the next BIG story.

I do understand the concerns you may have about using PR, though.

If you haven’t done it before, the idea of promoting yourself using PR may well seem scary and out of reach in many respects.

But, in fact, securing media coverage for your business can be achieved, sometimes, quite easily.

Journalists are just an email away

The truth is that most journalists are just an email, or a tweet, away.

And while I’m not saying that securing free publicity for your business is as easy as just sending an email or a 140 character tweet, that would be a great first step.

You can either submit your news directly to a journalist or, perhaps easier still, you can even use tools like the journorequest hashtag to discover what information journalists are actively looking for.

Start using PR tactics today and reap the benefits!

Honestly, PR is not rocket science!

And business owners and creative entrepreneurs like you are right now reaping the rewards of using PR. So there’s really no reason why you can’t be doing the same.

That’s why I strongly believe that using PR to promote your business should be on your to-do list.

Don’t ever think that by contacting journalists you are being a pest! They need a constant stream of news, from companies large and small, in order to do their jobs. Your news could be exactly what they are looking for.

And, believe me, it is so satisfying if you get the result you are after!

I love nothing more than the buzz of securing media coverage for my clients – it’s literally an addictive high!

Why are you not using PR to promote your business yet?
