Would you like to know what content marketing is all about, and how you can implement it into your business?

If so, I highly recommend that you check out the book, The Content Revolution by Mark Masters.

I’ve just finished reading it and loved it! It was a jargon-free read and packed with value.

Content Marketing 101

Firstly, a bit of a disclaimer, I do love reading marketing books since I love learning about what I do (beats a fiction novel any day of the week in my humble opinion). So this book was just my cup of tea.

But even if you aren’t usually a marketing book enthusiast, I think you’ll enjoy The Content Revolution.

It’s really accessible. It’s not just written for people, like me, with a professional interest in marketing approaches.

Literally everyone in business – those without a marketing background right through to the seasoned marketing professional – will find the book to be informative and thought provoking.

In clear and simple terms it articulates exactly what content marketing is. It also provides a convincing argument for why a content-driven marketing approach is the right one for modern businesses.

It is crammed with valuable insights and actionable tips for businesses of all sizes.

The content revolution

Mark’s passion for the subject is obvious. He’s an evangelist of content marketing and his unique writing style really brings this to life.

I’ve met him in person on several occasions now. I can tell you he is genuinely passionate about the subject. The book is the true embodiment of everything he preaches in everyday life and via his Marketing Homebrew podcast (also worth a look), which he co-hosts with marketing strategist Ian Rhodes.

It’s a labour of love and his enthusiasm is infectious.

Personal anecdotes and endearing analogies are scattered throughout.

As a result, The Content Revolution is a highly engaging read. I genuinely struggled to put down.

The end of traditional marketing

What I really enjoyed about the book was how inspiring and motivating the content was.

It gives a strong mandate for re-thinking traditional marketing methods. It leaves the reader with a clear, refined sense of purpose.

It certainly got me itching to continue my personal commitment to content marketing and to instilling my passion for content into the companies that I work for.

Expert comment

The cherry on the cake was that the book ends with expert comment from many of the world’s top marketing influencers.

Do look up all those featured. They’re worth following if you plan to continue learning about content marketing.

In conclusion, a gem of a book. If you aren’t already a convert to content marketing, after reading this you will be!
